I signed up for a driving school last week, for $75 I really wasn't expecting much.

But I had a lot of fun, met a lot of people and did the best car mod - a driver mod.

This event was run by the local BMW and Porsche Club, they have an advanced driving course I intend to participate in as well. The demographics was incredibly mixed, there were families that all participated individually, plenty of soccer moms, young teens and even a ZipCar rental! Every student had their own driving instructor and the full day (8am to 5pm) included lunch and snacks.

That is pretty cool. Most gear heads have an arrogant attitude about basic driving schools. They never think

1.I might learn something.

2.Practice makes perfect.

3.Might meet interesting people.

$75 for the whole course with lunch is a sweet deal!

That looks like a blast. I did something like that years ago, but I look forward to doing one with my Z when it goes back together. Also looking forward to doing a performance driving school at the track. It's nice getting input from people who that sort of driving regularly and can analyze the bad habits I have picked up.
